A loving husband, father and grandfather, George A. Smith, 61, of Milton, WV, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 7, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Minister Steve Morrison. Burial will be in Staten Chapel Cemetery. He was born February 19, 1947 in Milton, WV, a son of the late James and Edna Brumfield Smith. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Toby Smith and David Smith, and his grandchild, Aaron Smith. George was a decorated Lance Corporal in the United State Marines Corp serving in Vietnam. He was also an avid fisherman and gardener. He is survived by his wife, Ann Conrad Smith; six children, Suzanne and Dana of Milton, Chris and Dee of Barboursville, Matt and Bev of Milton, Tammy and Ashley of Milton, Angelia and Mark of Dallas, TX, and Latisha Taylor; one brother, Gary Gene Smith of Hurricane, WV. He also had eleven grandchildren and three special nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. George lived his life for his wife, children and grandchildren.
