Jerry Don Hutchinson, 84, of Huntington, WV, passed away September 18, 2023. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Fellowship Baptist Church, by Pastor Greg Wagoner. Burial will be in Spring Valley Memory Gardens. He was born January 26, 1939, in Huntington, WV, son of the late Austin and Bessie Hutchinson. He worked as an administrator with the Cabell County Jail and the Cabell County Assessor’s Office, was a retired captain with the Huntington Police Department, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Linda Johnson Hutchinson; four children, Lora Mays (Randy) of Holly Springs, NC, Leah Summers of Lexington, Ky., Chris Courts (Elayne) of Cary, NC, and Johnna Hayes (Allen) of Wendell, NC; one sister, Edna Powell of Florida; ten grandchildren Morgan Wall, Bryan Mays, Aaron Mays, Allison Mays, Jonathan Mays, Andrew Hayes, Abrielle Hayes, Parker Courts, Wyatt Courts, and Tess Courts; and seven great-grandchildren Lily Wall, Kinsley Wall, Branson Wall, Eloise Mays, William Mays, Hayden Mays and Miles Mays. Visitation will be from 11 to 12 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 271, Barboursville, WV, 25504.
