 Gladys Williams, 81, of Lavalette, WV, passed away January 8, 2024. She was born March 2, 1942, in Logan, WV, daughter of the late Ishmael and Louise Meade Lackey. She was also preceded in death by her husband Rush Williams, brother Truman and Meruel Lackey; and sister Eva Jarrell. She is survived by one daughter Jennifer Hysell of Barboursville; one grandson Nathan Hysell; three sisters Elizabeth “Lib” Fitzpatrick, Helen Stepp, and Cora Dillon; four brothers Carson Lackey, Ernest “Bud” Lackey, Arnold “Babe” Lackey, and Jimmy Lackey. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 12, 2024, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville, WV. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. |

Sending love to Jennifer, family and friends! Gladys was such a sweet lady and I'll be forever grateful to her. She altered my wedding dress with such skill and created such a wonderful memory for us. Her sweet personality with a large amount of mischievousness will not be forgotten!
