Crystal Jean Mayes (Talley), 70, of Huntington, WV, passed away on May 15, 2024 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born in Buffalo, NY, and was known for her caring and compassionate nature, as well as her love for animals.
Crystal was a dedicated in-home Daycare Worker for children and found joy in flower gardening and playing Bingo in her free time.
Crystal was preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years Charles Mayes and brothers Elwood “Butch” Dow Jr. and Darrell Dow.
She is survived by her children, John (Tara) Kiripolsky, Brenda Morlok, and Sarah (Dan) Hoffman; her step-sons, Charles Mayes Jr., Ricky (Karen) Mayes, Craig (Kelly) Mayes, Tommy (Shannon) Mayes, Scott (Heather) Mayes; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as her siblings, Steve and Leona Dow.
A small intimate memorial to honor Crystal’s life will be held at Wallace Funeral Home, 1159 Central Ave., Barboursville, WV 25504 on Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. The funeral home has been instrumental in assisting the family during this difficult time.
