1937 - 2024
 Ollie J. Dunaway, 86, of Milton, born July 30, 1937, died May 16, 2024. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Rocky Smith. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Ollie enlisted in the Navy at age 16, and was a plank holder on the USS Lexington. After attending OCS he transferred to the US Army, serving in Vietnam. He was subsequently discharged from military service in September of 1963, after 10 years of honorable service. As the nations' oldest steelworker, he left the profession at age 82. He felt a great kinship with all steelworkers and considered them his extended family. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Joyce, his adult children, Jimmy and Cindy and step children, Scott and Amanda Setliff, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers, and is survived by four brothers. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
