I'm sending my love and hope for comfort to all of you. Mom and I couldn't visit these last few years but my mom especially loved talking with Ronnie on the phone, after she moved to New Mexico with me. All of my life, he was there, being his beautiful, cheerful, energetic self. When we got together for our family gatherings when my parents and my sister and I visited and later, for those couple of years when I was living with Mom in Huntington, he was always there, sharing his beautiful self. And I always enjoyed sharing our love of chocolate during those times. I'm feeling sad and also happy to have known him all of my life. Blessings and love to all of you.

Ronnie was such a wonderful person. He was always so kind and fun when we were in town. He made all of us feel special, and always seemed so glad to see us. He had the gift of making each of us feel worthwhile just because he was genuinely interested in us. The time he spent with my parents, visiting and helping out, was so appreciated. They loved him so very much. And the time he spent with our family, from Wii games to boat rides, and just always showing up, were a bright spot in our Huntington visits. He was such a good person. And he loved so deeply. Connie and Shane and Normal Jean, I know your grief is deep. Peace will come, and eventually the missing will not overshadow the joy of his being. We are holding you and all of Ronnie's loved ones close in our hearts. Wish we could be with you.

To Ronnie’s Family: I was lucky enough to meet Ronnie because of my friendship with Lila. He was warm, friendly, and damn funny. Lila adored him, and I will be forever grateful for the role he played in her life. I got to watch him be an awesome dad to Shane and can only imagine what a great grandpa he was. My heart breaks for all of you- I am just so sorry for your loss. Love, Amy
