Linda Sue Cook Tolliver, 72, of Ashton, W.Va., went on to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 with her family by her side. Linda “Girlfriend” was born on October 31, 1951 in North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her mother Frances Sears and a sister, Mary Bryant. Linda was a fun, loving, compassionate soul with a big heart who never met a stranger and all of those who knew her loved her including her fur babies Gizzy Mae, Boots and Spanky. She is survived by her loving husband, Lewis Tolliver of Ashton, W.Va. Linda met her husband Lewis and moved to Ashton in October 2005, those two hearts immediately became one and their bonus families grew and grew. It was on August 9, 2024 when Lewis officially made Linda a Tolliver. She is survived by two sons, Jerry Cook (Judy) and Scott Cook both of North Carolina; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Stover (Craig) of Ashton, W.Va., and Shelly Casto (John) of Milton, W.Va.; three brothers, James Smith (Renee) of North Carolina, Tommy Smith of North Carolina and Charles Greene (Lorraine) of Indiana; four sisters, Betty Brown (Rick) of Florida, Kathy Greene (Steve) of North Carolina, Brenda Biggerstaff of South Carolina and Barbara Dodson of Michigan; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved and was loved by them all. Linda has requested to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Ronnie Long officiating.
