 Ruth Geraldine “Peggy” Chapman, 89, of Ona, WV, went home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2024. She was born May 25, 1935, in Ona, WV, daughter of the late Elmer and Ada Ryder Jarvis. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Gene, Junior and Don Jarvis; sisters Maxine Poling and Anna “Susie” Turpin. She is survived by her husband of 73 years Richard Paul Chapman; two sons Richard Marvin Chapman (Billie Jean) and Brent Chapman (Deby); four grandchildren Jared Chapman (Holly), Casey Chapman (Kaycee Ann), Summer Chapman, and Andy Chapman; great grandchildren Zoey Hesson, Maddie Hesson and Abilene Chapman; great great grandson Brayden. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2024, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Greg Lunsford. Burial will be in Arthur Cemetery, Ona, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Special thanks to her caregivers Darlene Heaster and Sarah Thomas and a special thanks to Hospice of Huntington. Uncle Rich, Brent and Marvin, I was so very sorry to hear about Aunt Peggy's passing. At these times, we look back and recall happy times spent together. I happily remember the time our families vacationed together in Myrtle Beach. I will be praying for you all. Rick
