Mason Aaron RiffeMason Aaron Riffe, 45, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Barboursville, left his earthly home for his heavenly home September 22, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. He was a proud graduate of Cabell Midland High School and Marshall University. He was the son of John and Delberta Riffe of Milton and Judith R. Smith of Huntington. He was also the grandson of the late Charles O. and Hazel Riffe of Barboursville and the late Henry and Macel Hodges of Kenova. He was preceded in death by several uncles, aunts and cousins. In addition to his parents he is survived by siblings Sydney Riffe and John B. Riffe of Milton. He is survived by Uncles Edward Riffe of Mission Viejo, California; Charles (Jeanette) Riffe of Leesburg, Florida; and Aunt Frances Allen of Hurricane. Uncles Russell (Cathy) Hodges of Bumpass, Virginia, Aunt Diane (Dean) Vance of Huntington and Uncle Curtis (Margie) Hodges of Huntington. He is also survived by several cousins including two special cousins W. Brad (Jill) Allen and Matthew (Victoria) Allen of Cincinnati, Ohio. Mason is also survived by two special life-long friends Dr. Andrew Pearson and Josh Scragg, both of Barboursville. Mason had a passion for music especially the Eagles and Elvis Presley and he loved to sing Karaoke. He loved watching sports especially rooting for Marshall University Thundering Herd and the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. Perhaps his favorite pastime was watching Professional Wrestling. He was Methodist by faith. He had a heart of gold and was loved by many and will be sorely missed. Services will be conducted at Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, at 2 p.m. with visitation one hour before services. Rev. Al Flaitz and Rev. Dr. I. Mark Conner will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington.
