James A. Nelson Jr., 58, of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024. He was born May 7, 1966 in Ashland, Ky., son of the late, James and Aliene Lyon Nelson. He served in the United States Army and was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan and loved basketball and going on cruises. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Nelson; son, Trevor Nelson; step-son, Brandon Scott; sister, Rhonda Marcum and husband Todd; grandchildren, Kellen Scott and Bella Scott; niece, Amanda Marcum; nephew, Trenton Marcum and wife Kristin as well as special friends, Keith, Gary, Tony and host of others. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Todd Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may visit from Noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
