1938 - 2024

Irene JobeIrene Jobe, 86, of Salt Rock, WV, went to abide with her Heavenly Father on December 19, 2024. She was surrounded by her family until the very end. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Tracy Call. Burial will be in Gill Cemetery, Salt Rock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Jobe; her sister, Armilda Trachsel and brother, Noah Adkins; sons, Lucky and Donnie Jobe; son-in-law, Lee Helms; and great-granddaughter, Emma Booth. She is survived by her daughter, Rose and Dale Miller of Salt Rock, daughter, Sis Helms (Gary) of Salt Rock, and daughter, Sharon and Mark Black of Milton, WV; her beloved grandkids: Beth (Denver), Summer, Amanda (Shaun), Lee (Misty), Paul (Sara), Cathy (Mark), Jessi (Matt), Allen and Emily (Thomas); her great-grandchildren: Maddie and Grayson; Jett, Jaxx and Joss; Tyler, Katie and Austin; Sydney (Shane), Trevor, Carson, Trenton, Gabby and Annie; Noah, Annie, Ritchie, Stephee and Gwen; Brookie and Okey; Sadie; Braxton, Don and Betty; and Waylon and Bentley; one great-great-grandson, Hudson and one great-great-granddaughter on the way, Heidi. Her testimony was seen and felt in the way she lived and more in the way she loved. She spoke kindly of everyone and would tell her family of the way they should love Jesus. She is unquestionably spending eternity on the shores of Heaven. She left her family with the message “Love each other”. We have to imagine she is getting her cabin in the corner of Gloryland. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
