Dennis Edwin Smith, 66, of Barboursville, passed away December 27, 2024 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. He was born March 16, 1958, in Port Arthur, Texas, a son of the late Homer and Doris Wells Smith. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Julia Ann Smith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam War. Dennis was proud to be a past commander of the American Legion Post #177, Barboursville. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Richmond Smith; two daughters, Amanda McCallister of South Point, Ohio and Kelsey Hatfield (Tyler) of Coal Grove, Ohio; one son, Dennis Smith (Karissa) of Huntington; one sister, Sue Tooker of New Port News, Virginia; and six grandchildren, Savannah, Madalynn, Ava, Liam, Hailey, and Lucas.
