WANDA SUE JENKINS HANDLEY, 81, of Barboursville, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2024. She was born on June 3, 1943 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Willie Jenkins and Omega Blake Jenkins Perdue. Wanda graduated from Huntington East High School, and she retired from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles. Wanda was a strong woman, loving mother, and “the fun” aunt to many. She is also preceded in death by her husband John R. Handley, sister Doris Jenkins Bowen, brother-in-law Lemuel “Sonny” Bowen, and nephew Jerry Jenkins. She is survived by son John Handley; sister Lanna Jenkins Broce (Brian); brother Larry Jenkins (Sharon); nephews Terry Jenkins, John Bowen, Larry Jenkins (Annette), Nathan Broce; nieces Sherrie Bowen Adkins (David), Rhonda Jenkins Coppo (Don); and 10 grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel in Barboursville. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park in Huntington.
