I first met Helen when she was an undergrad and my mother's student teacher at Fairland High School in the early 1970's. I dropped by the school for a minute at which time I was introduced to Helen. I will never forget the way she lit up the classroom, with that magnificent smile and amazing charisma only Helen possessed. Over the years, our paths would cross and she never changed. Helen had the incredible gift of making everyone with whom she came into contact feel valuable and special. Helen was such a beautiful soul, all her life. The number of people she touched are uncountable. The world was such a better place with Helen in it. My condolences to George, Nichole, Chris and Paula during this challenging time. Such beautiful memories of this family during my life in Huntington!

I dearly loved having Mrs. Boley as a teacher at CMHS. She taught my clothing and textiles class and fashion class. I can still hear her laugh. She had a zest for life and I am so glad she was able to golf and travel and live life after she retired. I will always remember her fondly.

Mrs. Boley was magic and I loved having her as a teacher. She encouraged me to follow my dreams and never give up. I'm so glad she was able to golf to her heart's content after she retired, she deserved it after all of the work she put into her teaching career. Her lust for life and education continues on through all of the future teachers she helped create. This may sound silly, but I promised her about 15 years ago that I would not pronounce advertisement as ad•ver•tiz•ment until I turn 50. Everytime I hear the word, I think of Mrs. Boley.

To Mrs. Boley's family: I am so very sorry to hear of her passing. I was one of Mrs. Boley's students in Human Services class when she taught at Cabell Midland back in 2005. She was a wonderful teacher. One of my fondest memories in class was we were discussing blended families. She allowed my sister and I to bring the movie: Yours, Mine and Ours to watch in class as a wrap up to that topic. I learned many life skills from being in that class. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.
