Charles Garrett Perry, 81 of Branchland, WV passed from this life on Monday, March 24, 2025, after a extended illness. Charles was the son of the late Elder Arnold and Estelle Bartram Perry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Leep Perry; daughter Tina Renee Perry; brothers, Elder Larry Perry, Richard Perry, Keith Arnold Perry and infant brother Timothy Ray Perry. Those survived to mourn his loss are his son, Charles Garrett Perry, Jr. (Christi) of Salt Rock, WV and daughter Angela Lynn Shumway-Shivel of Catlettsburg, KY; grandchildren, Christopher (Ashley) Perry of Branchland, WV, Brittany Turley of Lexington, KY, Tracy Garrett Shumway and Jaden Renee Shumway (Fiancé Matthew Ferguson), of Catlettsburg, KY; one great-grandson, Easton Perry of Branchland, WV. Others to mourn his loss are his sisters, Sharon (Glenn) Adkins of Huntington, WV, Karen Adkins of Barboursville, WV, and Debbie Ludlum of Lexington, KY and a host of family and friends. He was retired from Special Metals in Huntington. He was a devoted member of the Liberty United Baptist Church. He truly loved his church and church family. Services will be conducted at 3:30 pm Friday, March 28, 2025 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, WV by Eddie McComas, Eddie Parsons, and Jamie Clay. Burial will be in Perry Family Cemetery, Branchland, WV. Charles will be remembered for his love of his family, his church and church family, and most of all for his love of the Lord.
