Robert Clere Bragg, 88, of Milton, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. He was born March 3, 1937 in Milton, W.Va., a son of the late, William and Virginia Clere Bragg. He was a veteran of the United States Army and attained the rank of Command Sergeant Major while in the 19th Special Forces. He was a member of the American Legion Post 139, Special Forces and Airborne Association. He was also a member of the Minerva Lodge No. 13, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Beni Kedem Shriners, Order of Eastern Star of Barboursville and Huntington Commandery No.9 Knights Templar. He graduated from Milton High School in 1955 and graduated from West Virginia University in 1959. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Kay Bragg; daughter, Carmen Flynn of St. Helens, S.C.; brother, Carl Bragg of Pleasanton, CA; grandson, Shawn Bruce of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and great-grandchild, Chelsea Bruce. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Minister Danny Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Friends may visit from Noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research.
