LaVada Ruth Richards, 76, of Lesage, W.Va., formerly of Prichard, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. She was born January 18, 1949 in Bremerton, Wash., a daughter of the late, Joda Butler and Mildred Ross. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Elizabeth Osburn; two sisters, Joda DeLinda Hatten and Billy Joe Stambaugh (Jim) and by one nephew, Danny Dale Hofmeister. She is survived by two sisters, Patricia Gale Hofmeister (Rich) and Diane Henry (Howard); brother-in-law, David Hatten; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor Howard Henry and Jimmy VanZandt officiating. Burial will follow at Newman Hatten Cemetery, Prichard, W.Va. Following the burial, there will be a bereavement dinner at First Independent Missionary Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall, 848 13th Street, Kenova, WV, 25530.
