James Grandville PetersonJames Grandville Peterson, 90, of Milton, WV, passed away May 5, 2025. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church, 103 Jefferson Park Dr., Huntington, 25705, by Rev. Scott Hoppe. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

James was born November 19, 1934 in Clarksburg, WV, a son of the late Cecil and Avis Peterson. He was a long time Insurance Agent in the Huntington area and was a member of Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy Z. Peterson. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Dennis Loux of Fairview, TX; two sons, M. Steven Peterson of La Marque, TX and Michael Peterson of Milton, WV; sister, Anne Peterson Floyd of Chester, VA, one sister-in-law, Rachel Craycraft of Ashland, KY, one brother-in-law, Robert Wallace of Harrisonburg, VA; and three grandchildren, James Robert Loux, Aaron Michael Loux and Steven Christopher Loux.

James graduated from West Virginia University in 1957 with a Bachelor's degree in Business. He continued his professional education with Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

James was a longtime board member of the Ronald McDonald House and member of the Milton Rotary and worked with Woody Williams Foundations. He was a long time member of the Cabell County Republican Executive Committee.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at http://www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
