My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Carolyn and I were close when we were teenagers. She helped me so much when we were young. We had a few exciting adventures together. Dancing at her mom's house. Driving to Emerald Isle with her dad and leaving just before a hurricane. My favorite was us riding horses and me falling off twice on Easter. She will be greatly missed. We may have drifted apart as we went on with our lives and had kiddos, but the time we shared will always be remembered.

It's with great sorrow that I bid farewell to my friend, Carolyn. She told me, more than once, that she never saw our age difference.. that she only saw her friend. We shared our love for Tae Kwon Do and our deep, unrelenting love for our families. My condolences to her family, especially her husband, parents and sons. She will always be in our hearts..

Carolyn, I am so sorry. Thank you for being who you were and lighting up a room with humor, sarcasm, and grit. It was an honor and privilege to have known you. Rest easy my friend until we meet again.
