He is survived by the love of his life, Theresa Roy and their daughter, Jessica (Ernie) Spence and their children, Lilly Spence and Wesley Spence. Stepsons, Billy (Veronica) Pinkerman and Chris (Chrissy) Pinkerman and their children and grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Ann Carroll and Ruth “Tootsie” Lewis, sister-in-law, Gail Roy, and nephews, C.T. Carroll and Jeff Lewis. He leaves a host of friends and family including his good friends Gary Harless, and Jim and Denise Evans. Ron not only served his country in the United States Air Force but also in the United States Army Reserves. He retired from the primary mill at Special Metals in Huntington, WV. Ron enjoyed life his way, he was an introvert before it was popular. He had a love and devotion to his family as they were truly his joy in this life. He enjoyed watching races with Theresa (at home of course “cause the seats were better.”) He loved his daughter very much and devoted his life to giving her support so that she would succeed at everything she attempted in life. His grandchildren were his world, of everything he was in life, being “PawPaw Ron” was his absolute favorite. On Sunday, June 8th, 2025 God extended His grace and His mercy one last time to Ron and by Holy Ghost conviction convinced him of his need of a Saviour and Ron by faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ called on the Lord Jesus Christ to save him and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. Visitation will be Thursday, June 26th at Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville, WV at 12:00 p.m. with funeral services to begin at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV where his son-in-law, Pastor Ernie Spence will have the privilege to conduct the services. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” II Corinthians 5:17 KJB.
