Aileen Fern WaughAileen Fern Waugh, 76, of Lesage, went home to be with her Lord on July 16, 2025. She was born August 20, 1948 in Huntington, daughter of Hustin and Pauline Johnson Dillon.

She was a member of Cox Landing United Methodist Church and an avid Marshall fan. She graduated from Barboursville High School and Marshall University. She dedicated her life to teaching children in Cabell County Schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Waugh and brother, Roger Dillon. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Ryder (Matt) of Barboursville; her two sons Jeremy Waugh of Lesage, and TJ Waugh of Culloden; sisters-in-law Shirley Roberts, Peggy Waugh, and Diana Rife of Bristol, TN and Kathy Dillon of Louisa, KY. Also surviving are her grandchildren who were the joy of her heart, Kelsi Scott (Matthew), Ryan Ryder, Isabelle Ryder (Matthew), Amare Ryder, Collin Waugh and Piper Waugh and her great granddaughters Nova Scott and one on the way. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jerry Ryder on Monday, July 21, 2025. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lesage Lions Club at PO Box 176, Lesage, WV 25537. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:7 NKJV
