
Charles Willard LaFon or better known to friends and family as Bill, passed away October 27, 2025. Bill was born in White Sulphur Springs, WV on September 5, 1942. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam War. He loved his country, his family, and he was a hard worker.
Bill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many callings. Bill earned a college degree in Business from Marshall University and opened LaFon’s Window Cleaning Service in 1971. He retired from his business 13 years ago to take care of his wife Charlotte.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Ann Byrd LaFon, his father, Willard Mason LaFon, mother, Blanche Edna Feury, four sisters: Brenda Marie Willey (James Robert Willey), Linda Lee Eplion, Janet Gay Ballinger, Carolyn Grace Thompson.
He is survived by two sons, Shane Troy LaFon of Huntington, WV, Charles Todd LaFon of Ashland, Ky., grandson, Wesley Fitzpatrick, sister, Gloria Feury Banton of Florida, and brother, Robert (Bob) Mason LaFon of Huntington, WV.

Bill’s visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, WV from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held Friday, October 31, 2025, at Wallace Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Huntington.
