Burna Gail Baker Bills, 82, went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 57 years Decker O’Dell Bills, her daughter Kimberly Dawn Bills Hawk, her parents Raymond and Evelyn Baker, a brother Dale Baker, and a sister Muriel Goodman. She is survived by her daughters Sheri (Randy) Lilly and Tiffany (Brian) Scaggs; grandchildren Sarah Lilly, Katie Beth Gue, Teresa Dawn Morrison, Ben Hawk, Krista Hensley, and Decker Scaggs; eight great-grandchildren; brothers Ronald (Shawn) Baker, Lucian (Jill) Baker; sister Teresa (Gary) Okicki and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Gail was the best mom in the world and loved so much by her children and grandchildren. Whatever struggles this child of God had, and there were many, it could not define her. In her pain she offered others healing. In her doubts she offered others courage. To her family she was an arm to offset harm whenever harm was near. A fierce lioness to defend her children and a gentle friend when you needed one. An obituary could never define such a beautiful and sweet gentle loving spirit that belonged to this child of God. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be at 12 noon Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Dr. Lucian Baker and Ron Baker.
