
Emogene Vipperman, 96, of Huntington, passed peacefully with family by her side on April 4, 2026. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Al Flaitz. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Emogene was an icon in the local Antique Market with her husband for nearly 60 years. Her greatest pleasure was being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born November 20, 1929, in McCarr, Ky., a daughter of the late WP and Maxine Norman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Robert Vipperman; her two sons, Ron and Bill Vipperman; one great-grandchild, Maddie Rucker; and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter Brenda Rucker McLaurin and her husband Charlie of Huntington; one daughter-in-law, Nicki Vipperman of Charlotte, NC.; eight grandchildren, Todd (Tammy) Rucker, Shawn (Bridget) Rucker, Jodi Wright, Heather (Barry) Scovel, Jeremy (Sharon) Vipperman, Jason (Christy) Vipperman, Adam (Kim) Vipperman and Sarah (Eddie) Cusak; and 16 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Madison Park for their love and care. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.
