 Mary Kathryn Bowen, 83, of Huntington, passed away June 19, 2026. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2026, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born March 8, 1943, in Huntington, a daughter of the late John and Noma Adkins Bias. She was preceded in death by her sister, Wilda Bias, two infant brothers and step grandchildren, Nikki and Gary Dale. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Leo Bowen; children, Leigh Ann Pitts (Chris) of Barboursville and Angela Niebergall (Gene) of Ona; stepchildren, Evelyn Bowen and Jane York both of Kenova, and Leo W. Bowen (Debbie) of Huntington; sister, Danita Bias of Ashland; special niece, Jessica Smith (Bryan) of Proctorville; two special grandchildren, Makenzi and Ethan Niebergall; step grandchildren, Alisha, Tiffany, Willard, Josh and Michael; fifteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Mary was a special lady. We became friends in 1991 when we lived beside her. My son was born on March 8th also in 1992. That was a good day. We lost contact throughout the years but shes always had a special place in my heart and memory. To all her family I am so sorry for your loss but HEAVEN has gained a special angel. Love you all RIP Mary till me all meet again 💔

It hurts my heart to know Mary is no longer with us! It gives me comfort in knowing she is now with God and mothering my daughter! Mary was the greatest lady ever and always treated me and my children as her own! I have the fondest memories of her that I will always hold in my heart. Much love to her family and may God comfort each of you.
