Randall “Randy” Clarence Wooten, 72, went home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2026 in Huntington, West Virginia. He was born on November 9, 1953, a son of the late Wanda and Earl Wooten.
Randy is survived by his wife, Mary Wooten; two children, Merle (Erika) Wooten and Randi “Leigh” Dalton (Scott Thompson); two stepdaughters, Frances Lawrence and Sylvia Gibson; two brothers, Curtis “Roger” (Norma) Wooten and Claude (Joanne) Wooten; two sisters, Geraldine Perry and Dottie Farhat.
Randy also leaves behind ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who all bestowed upon him the cherished and enduring title of Pawpaw Randy: Amber Wooten, Wesley (Bella) Dalton, Katie Wooten, Ethan Dalton, Austin Wooten, Olivia Dalton, Casen Thompson, Maddox Dillon, Caydence Dillon, Kalleigh Wroten, Rory Dalton, and Kai Dalton.
Randy worked as a dedicated machinist and entrepreneur until his retirement. He honored hard work and prided himself on the continuing legacy of Wooten Machine Co., a business built alongside his beloved brothers. Beyond his professional pursuits, Randy was best known as a steadfast RC Cola connoisseur and a complex puzzle savant. In retirement, he found joy in solving puzzles with loved ones, attending services at Bowen Ridge Church, and spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jesse Lacy. Burial will be in Adkins Cemetery.
