Carole Ann JohnsonCarole Ann Johnson 87, of Pickerington, OH, formerly of Barboursville, WV passed away Saturday August 1, 2026. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Tom Roten. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park. She was born September 4, 1938 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Glenn and Adeline Ward Sarten. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Delano Johnson; aunt, Nellie Coplin and son-in-law, Don Collins. Carole was retired from Tower Foodfair. She was a former member of the Barboursville Lions Club, St. Andrews Episcopal Church, and most recently Steele Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved quilting, cooking, and most recently coloring beautiful pictures. She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Simmons (Jeff) and Jennifer Collins, both of Pickerington, OH and Debbie Johnson of New Jersey; grandchildren, Joe Chaput, Robert Collins, Carole Suarez and Craig Maynard; several great-grandchildren including her special great-grandchild, Molly Chaput. Visitation will be from 12-1 pm Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. The family would like to thank the staff of Abbington Assisted Living for their kindness and loving care of Carole Ann, and the staff of Capital City Hospice for their care during her final days.
