Harry Lee Smith, 82, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026 at his home. He was born September 19, 1944 in Salt Rock, WV, a son of the late Harry Lawson Smith and Emily Frances Bledsoe Smith. He was retired from Corps of Engineers and was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Goodpaster and Peggy Smith. He is survived by one daughter, Jessica Kidwell and her husband Roy of Winchester, VA; one son, Dustin Smith and his wife Valerie of Barboursville; eight grandchildren, Mikalya, Tyler, Ashley, Lakyn, Destiny, Tyler Jacob, Caleigh, and Nate; several great grandchildren; one niece, Lisa Holton and one nephew, Buddy Glover. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock, with Minister Danny Evans officiating. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements.
