Dorothy Eloise Chapman, 93, of Milton, W.Va. went home to the Lord and her family on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Dorothy adored her family more than anything. Dorothy also loved the many cats and dogs she cared for over the years. She is preceded in death by her parents Creth and Cecilia Chapman, sisters Evelyn Pullen, Martha Chapman, Ida Eves, Freeda Chapman, Wanda Hensley and brothers Harold “Buck” Chapman, Charles Chapman and Donald Chapman. She is survived by her sister-in-law Freda Chapman, nieces and nephews Amy Leslie (Bob), Rodney Chapman (Pam), Stephen Pullen, Cecilia Dolin (Ronnie), Linda Morgan, Joy Pack (Bill), and a host of great nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Mary Finley and Carrie Myers for their care and devotion over the past few months. The service will be provided by Dorothy’s nephew, Pastor Rodney Chapman. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter in Dorothy’s name. Visitation will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens beginning at 11 a.m. with the service following at 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
