Robert Lee CallRobert Lee Call, 92, of Barboursville, WV, died October 30, 2024 surrounded by his family. Bob was born September 29, 1932 in Barboursville to the late Leslie G. Call and Virginia Mays Call. After graduating from Barboursville High School, Bob was drafted into the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict at Camp Zama in Japan. After his military service ended, he attended Marshall College where he met his wife of 65 years, Janice Carol Tabor. Bob worked for Columbia Gas Transmission until he retired in 1995. Bob attended Farmdale Church of Christ and Sixth Avenue Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Carol Ann Martin and her husband Dr. Robert Craig Martin of Georgetown, KY and his son, Robert Scott Call of Barboursville. Survivors also include his grandsons, John Robert Martin of Louisville, KY, 2LT Samuel Tabor Martin (Katherine) of Fort Novosel, Alabama, Adam Scot Roberts (Lora) of St. Augustine, Florida, Zachary Lee Meadows and Anson Dane Meadows, his brothers Bill Call (Juanita), Roger Call (Delora), Rick Call (Lucianne) and his sisters Virginia Carol Black and Mary Witten (Russell) all of Barboursville, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Jim Call and John Call and his daughter-in-law Belinda Thompson Call.

Funeral services will be at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, WV on Saturday November 9, 2024 at 12 p.m. Burial to follow at Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington, WV. Visitation will be at Wallace Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to start of service.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the wonderful staff at the Wyngate Senior Living Community and also caregivers Maelene, Jordan and Gayle. Bob was a proud Army veteran and always wanted to support veterans and their families. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers (T2T) or Wreaths Across America.

I worked with Bob at Lockwood.He was a very respected employee. He was also know around the office as being a real family man, he was really proud of his family. Bob showed me the ropes and help me a lot when I first started in the office. He was a real asset to the gas company. Best wishes to the family.
