Melissa J. Haynes, 47, of Milton, W.Va., better known as Missy to her loved ones, departed this life on May 22, 2025. Missy brought joy, kindness, and light to those who knew her. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, wife, and friend. She battled long and hard and showed immense strength in the face of great adversity. It was certain there would be laughter any time Missy was in your presence. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Henry and Quilla Wray. She is survived by her husband, Eric, cherished daughter, Amber, and faithful companion, Skippy. As well as countless family and friends who will cherish her memory always. Missy’s life was truly a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved far beyond what words can explain and missed beyond measure. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the McWhorter Cemetery with Pastor Don Reynolds officiating. There will be no visitation.
