Rhonda Louise Rutherford Mills, age 69, died Sunday, July 20th 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV, after suffering various illnesses for many years.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Ron and Esta Rutherford of Milton, WV, and her brother Marty Rutherford, also of Milton. Also preceding Rhonda was her daughter, the Missionary, Christy Autumn Dawn Holland, formerly of Barboursville, WV and her son, Cory Justin Mills of Louisville, KY.
She is survived by her sister Debbie Hensley of Milton, WV, her granddaughter Brooklyn Joy Wiemer of Stuart, Florida, and her grandson and granddaughter, Isaac Ronin Mills and Maya Autumn Mills of Catlettsburg, KY.
Rhonda was the Milton High School Class of 1974 Band Drum Major and Homecoming Queen, Miss Greyhound, of that year. She attended Cyrus Creek Baptist Church of Barboursville, WV for many years. She later became a dedicated and much loved nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital until poor health forced her to retire.
Rhonda wishes to thank her friends, family, and caregivers for their comfort and care given during her illnesses. Her suffering is now over.
Wallace Funeral Home will hold the graveside service at the mausoleum at Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV, at 12 p.m. on Monday, July 28th with the Rev. Jay Holland of Stuart, FL presiding. All friends and family are sincerely invited to the service.
