Sharon Braley Clay, 83, of Milton, WV, went home to be with the Lord on December 25, 2025. While we mourn her loss on earth, we rejoice that God’s perfect timing brought Sharon home on Christmas Day giving her the ultimate gift of peace and joy in his presence. She was born March 30, 1942, in Huntington, WV, daughter of the late Ray and Ethel Marie Young Braley. She was also preceded in death by her cousin, Sheila Byrd who was like a sister. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Milton James “Jim” Clay; two children, Jamie Cooper (Buddy) and Stephen Clay (Terry); one sister, Rae Janet Johnson (Michael); four grandchildren, James Cooper (Lauren), Joshua Clay (Alyssa), Sarah Clay, and Anna Clay; four great-grandchildren, Cameron Cooper, Kendall Cooper, Adelynn Clay, and Judah Clay; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, by Pastor Nathan Jude. In lieu of flowers, cards will be appreciated.
