Robert Kevin Nida, 67, of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away at his home on March 12, 2026.
Born and raised in Huntington, he was the son of the late Lester “Rabbit” Nida and Doris “Jean” Nida. Robert dedicated more than four decades to the nursing profession, spanning from a neonatal nurse practitioner, to creating and managing mental health programs in the Huntington area.
He had a deep passion for music and enjoyed fishing at his beloved Cranberry Glades.
Robert is survived by his children, Melissa Thompson (Brandon) and Matthew Nida (Josh & Shawn); a son-in-law Aaron Thompson; grandchildren, Shiloh Thompson and Sydney Thompson; brother Lester “Rusty” Nida and sister-in-law Abigail Nida; and niece Kate Barrick.
