Garfield Lester, 95, of East Lynn, WV, passed away June 27, 2026. He was born June 9, 1931, son of the late Elihu and Dorothy Lester. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Velva Lester of 61 years, two sons, Roger Lester and Jimmy J. Lester, daughter, Rosella Lester, brothers, Elihu Lester Jr., Spurgeon Lester, Millard Lester, and Jimmy Lester, and sister, Audrean Thomas. He is survived by daughter, Mary Nicely (Gary) of Bowen Creek; son, James Lester (Colleen) of East Lynn; son, Ernie Lester of East Lynn; daughter, Loretta Sortor of New York; sister, Dottie Adkins of Bowen Creek; 17 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
