 Larry Beckett, 78, of Salt Rock, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born February 4, 1948 in Logan, W.Va., a son of the late, Luther and Lona Beckett. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Lenore Pratt and Naomi Hightower. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Beckett; one daughter, Angela Beckett; two sons, Steven Beckett (Allison) and Matthew Beckett; one sister, Linda Webb; one brother, Bud Beckett; four grandchildren, Timothy Beckett, Julie Smith, Aden Prence and John Beckett; and three great-grandchildren, Carson Beckett, Elaina Smith and Melanie Smith. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor James Jobe officiating. Time has kept us apart but it seems like yesterday you were in kitchen frying me potatoes in hog greese you were and will always be my favorite uncle I wish I could have gotten back that way to see you but Texas is a little way's I will see you again one day and you will be there to greet me with open arms,I know you will shine down on all the family I love you Uncle Larry daddy wanted to come but he is 90 years old and couldn't make it fly high on them there Mountains xoxoxo 💞
