Eugene Trenton Mays, 81, of Barboursville, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. He was born July 17, 1945 in Milton, W.Va., a son of the late, Ira and Clarica Mays. He is also preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Mays; two brothers, Ernie Mays and Bernie Mays; three sisters, Eva Wilkerson, Janice Mays and Brenda Mays. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of Expression Church of Huntington. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Mays; one daughter, Kathy Mays; two sisters, Bertha Bailey and Betty Tanner (Ron); one granddaughter, Aspen Scragg and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Expression Church of Huntington with Pastor Kevin West officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.
