Barbara Ann Pauley, 86, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026; she resides in death with her adorn husband Hugh David Pauley, her loving parents Malcolm and Doris Sheppard, her brothers Malcolm Jr. and Jimmy Sheppard and her loved grand-daughter Christian Pauley.
Barbara was born on March 21, 1940 in Miami, West Virginia and spent the majority of her life loving and taking care of her family while nursing patients as an LPN for over 40 years. From working in the ER, OB-GYN, pediatrics, to Urgent care, she enjoyed working Pediatrics the most due to her unconditional love for children. Barbara was known, above all, for her caring nature and desire to always help others.
Barbara is survived by her children Darryl (Sherry) and Robert “Bobby” (Pamela), her grandchildren Chad, Bryan, Brent (Athena), Shawna (Matt), great-grandchildren Reese (17), Elijah (16), Avery (11), Aubrey (8) and Axel (6) along with many extended relatives such as nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Services for Barbara will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville, West Virginia. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Messinger conducting the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. After the burial, a dinner for family and friends will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church, located at 1405 West Main Street in Milton, West Virginia.
