Stephen “Stevie” Dwayne Hinkle, 58, of Culloden passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024. He was a beloved husband, son, dad, pappy and friend. Steve was born on March 22, 1966 and was raised in Culloden. He was a 1984 graduate of Milton High School. He was a lifelong train wrecker for Donahue Brothers Inc. Throughout his career he was known for his unmatched work ethic and dedication. More than anything, Steve was a devoted husband, son, father, and pappy. He loved spending time with his family, as well as the extended family he found volunteering as the Vice President of the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival. He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Dean Hinkle and father-in-law, Larry Crawford. He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; mother, Natellia; brothers, Troy and Freddie Jr. (Debbie); son, Dwayne and Jessica; daughter, Katellia and Kyle Cook; eight beautiful grandchildren; and countless friends. His memory will live forever with all who knew him. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Troy Nicely officiating. Burial will follow in Maupin Cemetery, Ona. Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Steve you were a great man. I always enjoyed talking with you and sharing our stories of our Blenko finds. I sure am going to miss you. I pray Cindy and your family find comfort during this very trying time. I am sure we will meet again.

What a wonderful and dear friend, I will miss you as will many.
