Cara Leigh Adkins, 53, of Huntington, passed away January 13, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the American Legion Post 177 in Barboursville from 6 to 8 p.m. She was born December 30, 1971, in Huntsville, AL, a daughter of Patricia (Earl) Shepard of Huntington and Clyde Forinash of Tenino, WA. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 28 years, Tony Dale Adkins. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Taylor Adkins of Ashland, KY; son, Damron Adkins of South Point, OH; stepson, Kristopher Adkins of Huntington; sisters, Stephanie Jeffers of Barboursville and Emily Shepard of Grand Junction, CO; brother, Eric Shepard of Dayton, OH; special uncles and aunts, Jim and Alice Earl of Windermere, FL and Opal and Jon Cottrill of Clarksburg, WV; and a host of niece, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and friend and warmed any room she entered. Cara’s memory will live on.
