Mildred Geraldine Blake, 98, of Milton, WV, passed away January 14, 2025. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Teays Valley Baptist Church, 3926 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, WV. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery. She was born January 1, 1927 in Milton, a daughter of the late Leonard Clark Sr. and Mae Perry Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Blake; siblings, Frances Lewis, Leonard Clark, Jr., and Thelma Carter; and son-in-law, Cliff Webb. She is survived by her children, Denise Webb and Tina (Freddie) Green; grandchildren, Jered (McKenzie) Green, Jason (Amanda) Webb, Ryan Webb and Martha (Darren) Webb-Goodwin; several great-grandchildren; sister Janice Bills; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Dakota Miller and Kay Mays. Mildred was the Director of Ladies Visitation at Teays Valley Baptist Church for over 20 years, and she was always helping others. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Teays Valley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Teays Valley Baptist Church Mission Fund, 3926 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane, WV 25526. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, is assisting the family. Ms. Mildred was a lovely lady who will be sorely missed. She was a great friend and witness for the LORD. I pray GOD'S peace and comfort to the family and friends. For we know we will see her again in Heaven.

Denise and Tina, your mother's life was a testimony to Christ. She was a wonderful woman and I loved her. She was a woman who had a strong belief in prayer, which is a gift not given to many. I will so miss going to your house to visit. God Bless you both.

Tina and Denise - I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. She was such a wonderful christian woman and always such a strong witness for Christ to everyone she met. I will always cherish the memories and friendship of your family. Prays for you both and your families that God will comfort and bless you. I know my mom is happy to see her sweet friend.
