Heaven gained a special Angel! Rebecca J. Flowers, born August 9, 1942. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mom, nana, sister, Aunt Becky and angel mom. She was met at the pearly gates of Heaven by her Lord and Savior, her soulmate Scratch and their two children, Mindy and Nic on January 16, 2025. What a day of celebration that was!
She was born in Huntington, WV, in which she lived and brought sunshine to others for 82 years. Although she worked alongside the love of her life in buying and growing their business, C.E. Adkins & Son, Inc., her greatest joy was raising her three children and her job as homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stafford and Eileen Watson, her husband James “Scratch” Flowers, her daughter Mindy and her son Nic. She is survived by her daughter Shelly Rose (Terri Caldwell), her granddaughter Brooke Felix (Jake), her five great-grandchildren Caden, Addie, Brady, Skyler and Mason, her precious sister Judy Poff, her daughter-in-love Laura Becker, and a host of family and friends.
A Special thanks to her caregivers, Lynnie Eplin and Polly Gray and her loving best friend and sister Judy Poff for all their love and care during her health journey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, Huntington, by Dr. David Lemming. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington.
