Frances Joann Duncan, 95, of Lesage, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at her residence. She was born September 1, 1929 in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late, Jennings and Glenna Berry Ross. She is also preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Shepherd, Donald Bandy and Redford Duncan; one son, Johnny Shepherd; two sisters, Selena Maynard and Karen Lane and by three brothers, Jimmy Dale Ross, Harry “Bud” Ross and Mickey Ross. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Hoffman (Harold); three sons, Carl Shepherd Jr., James Robert Shepherd and Donald Matthew Bandy; two sisters, Ferrol Lee “Fuddy” Cotton and Judy Adkins; five grandchildren, Pam Holtzinger (Jeff) of Frederick, M.D., Donald Folden Jr. (Wendy) of Hagerstown, M.D., Tim Folden (Donna) of Hedgesville, WV, William Folden (Amy) of Myersville, M.D. and John Michael Shepherd of Lesage, W.Va.; nine great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Pastors Ron Page and Jennings “Gig” Page officiating.
