Causbie “Ellen” Clagg of Milton WV went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 9, 2026.
Ellen was born on September 25, 1936 in Myra, WV to Marion Ulysses Holley and Lola Mae Rayburn Holley and she was one of ten children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bud Rayburn, Harold Holley, Marion “Junior” Holley, Lavenia Holley, Virginia Holley, Martha Beach, Betty Hicks and Birdie Adkins.
Ellen was a talented hairdresser and she managed the beauty shop for decades at St. Mary’s hospital. She was a devoted Christian and faithfully worshipped at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church where she joyfully served as a greeter.
Ellen was the loving wife of James Arthur Clagg for 37 years. She was a loving mother to her three children, Teresa McComas Merry (Gordon) of Huntington, WV, Sandy McComas Campbell (Keith) of Anderson, SC, and Terry McComas (Lisa) of Iva, SC; step children, Sally Bowen (Mike) of Tazwell, VA, John Clagg of Milton, WV, and Beth Clagg of Charleston, WV. She was the proud grandmother of Carson Campbell (Brooke), Madison Adams (Braden), Jordon Merry, Lauren Clagg, Sawyer Bowen, Kayla Allen (Jesse), Jack Comer and Jade Clagg, Tori and Corey Parsons; five great grandchildren, Crew Adams, Jennings and Waylon Clagg, and Tilian and Kellin Hanna. She is also survived by her best friend, her sister, Ledith Salmons and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, 1358 W. Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, WV. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Dr. David Lemming and Dr. Tim Yates officiating. The burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
