1937 - 2026
Naomi Hagley Henry Massie, 88, accepted the call to come home on February 28, 2026 at Cabell Health Care in Culloden, W.Va. She was the daughter of Eustace Hagley and Icy Harriett Scarberry Hagley born August 11, 1937. She was preceded in death by her nine siblings, Estel, Shelby, Willie, Melva Shutz, Mary Lee, Joseph, Calvin, Arnold and Eustace Jr. Hagley and by her first husband, O’Dell Henry and her second husband, Ted Massie and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by two sister-in-laws, Gladys Hagley Burns and Wilma Hagley both of Ona, W.Va. and by a host of nieces, nephews and two step-children. She was a former employee of Maidenform of Huntington, W.Va. until its closure, then Mildred Bateman Mitchell Hospital for 20 years. After retirement she found herself working again for GC Services and providing home health care on the side for several including caring for her brothers and their wives during illnesses. While, Naomi wasn’t blessed with children of her own, she loved all she came in contact with. Its hard to sum up 88 years of life in just a few words but she ended a lot of conversations with “And here I Am” or “How did I get here” but now there she goes. She found her way. She will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the loving and thoughtful care of the Cabell Health Care Staff. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Greg Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow in the Hagley Family Cemetery, Ona., W.Va. Friends may visit one hour prior on Wednesday. Online condolences may be sent to www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
