Dorothy J. Richardson, 101, of Ona, WV passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be private. She was born July 24, 1925 in Barboursville, a daughter of the late Albert and Annie Midkiff Johnson. Dorothy was a bookkeeper for General Asphalt in Miami, FL and her last membership was in First Baptist Church in Stuart, FL. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ola Gooch and Nona Ezzo and two brothers, Albert Lee Johnson and Oval Johnson. She is survived by her niece, Sally Morrison and two nephews, Richard Gooch and Bobby Gooch; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Cabell Health Care for their kindness and care during Dorothy’s illness and Hospice of Huntington for their care. Dorothy’s favorite place to eat was Jim’s Spaghetti in Huntington and loved to always have a piece of chocolate pie which she had her last piece on Thursday before she passed away. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
