Shirley Ann Anderson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and woman of faith, passed away on October 13, 2026. Born March 23, 1942, in Charleston, West Virginia, she later made her home in Barboursville and Huntington, where she centered her life on family, faith, and caring for others.
Shirley was a devoted homemaker who loved cooking, creating a welcoming home, and caring for children. Her faith in Jesus Christ guided her life. She loved church, Bible reading, prayer, and singing with her beautiful soprano voice. Through children’s ministry and puppetry, she shared her love of the Lord with young hearts.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, caring nature, silly sense of humor, beautiful smile, and unwavering love. Her prayers, laughter, and kindness touched everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Okey and Dorothy Williams; her infant daughter, Katrina; her son, Greg; her husband, Don; and her grandsons, Phillip and Lincoln.
She is survived by her children, Mark Sanney (Kathi), Dale Anderson (Denise), Leah Lewis (Barry), Laura Anderson, and Maria Anderson (Shayne); her grandchildren, Ian, Trevor, Sarai, Ruth, Leah, Rebekah, Abigail, Daniel, Naomi, Nevaeh, Skyler, Dale II, Justin, Aaron, Andrew, Lauren, Darien, Jacob, Noah, and Grayson; and her many great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
