WHEELERSBURG — Ruth Carol Hacker Perry, 80, of Wheelersburg, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Ruth was born March 16, 1936, in Wheelersburg, Ohio. After graduating from Wheelersburg High School, she married the love of her life, Daniel E. Perry on Feb. 15, 1957. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid gardener. Dan and Ruth opened Perry's Pizza Barn in (1977). They were married for 59 wonderful years and together had three children, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Inez Pitzen Hacker, sisters Edith Knapp, Gloria Jean Geyer, Iva "Tootsie" Stone, brother Raymond Hacker, and son Daniel Joe (Tammy) Perry. She is survived by her husband, sisters Peggy Salyers of Greenup, Ky. and Pam (Ron) Stevens of Sarasota, Fla., children Kimberly Riffe and Raymond (Nikki) Perry, grandchildren Casey (Brittany) Riffe, Brittney Riffe, Sonnie (Alisa) Jones, Mindy (Tyler) Wickiser, Kayla, Hannah, and Emma Perry, and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Entombment will be at Memorial Burial Park. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
