Clarence Benton Felts
Wheelersburg—Clarence Benton Felts, 96, of Wheelersburg passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. Clarence was born April 28, 1920 in Portsmouth, VA to the late Benton Deloney and Madell Hornal Felts. Clarence retired from the N & W Railroad, as a Supervisor in the Wheel Shop; he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Brewer Felts; a daughter, Linda Sue Felts and three sisters, Mildred Mucha, Bonnie Jacobs and Willie Marsh. He is survived by his second wife, Darlene Griffith Felts, whom he married Dec. 16, 1995 in South Shore, KY; two sons, Larry (Malissa) Felts and Rick (Kathiann) Felts; a daughter, Tina (JC) Simon; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two brothers, Buddy Felts and Butch Felts.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016 at Memorial Burial Park Mausoleum in Wheelersburg, with Chris Oiler Officiating. Military graveside services will follow by American Legion Post #23. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, Aug. 12, 2016 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Online condolences may be sent to www.harrison-pyles.com.
