Frank Wilburn Otworth, Jr.
Frank Wilburn Otworth, Jr., 83, of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at his residence. Frank was born August 31, 1932 in Franklin Furnace, Scioto County Ohio to the late Frank Wilburn Otworth, Sr. and Genevieve Bernice Aldridge Otworth. Frank was retired, after 37 years, from the Norfolk and Western Railroad as a Yard Brakeman and Conductor; he belonged to the United Transportation Union Local; he was a member of the American Legion James Dickey Post #23 and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korea Conflict. He was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Jeanett (Bocook) Otworth, July 29, 2003, whom he married June 11, 1979 in Wise, VA; a son, John Richard Otworth and a daughter, Barbara Wampler.
He is survived by three sons, Joe Otworth, Michael Blankenship and Philip Blankenship; two daughters, Regina Delawder and Jeanette (William) Levine; a sister, Bessie Geraldine Mansfield; twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 01:00 pm Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church with interment to follow in St. Peter in Chains Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg from 5-8 pm on Monday, August 15, 2016 with Recital of Rosary at 8 pm.
